Federal Lifeline benefit of $9.25 per month is combined with the state Texas Lifeline benefit (managed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas) for additional savings. Many participating providers offer free wireless service plans (basic minutes, texts, and data) to Lifeline-eligible households. One Lifeline benefit per household. Choose phone OR internet, not both.
